Obituary of Margaret Elizabeth Arbeau

It is with broken hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Margaret “Margie” Elizabeth (Lean) Arbeau, on May 6th at 7:06 at the Oromocto Public Hospital. 

Margie was born on September 14^th, 1944, in Lower Saint Mary’s, NB, where she was raised in the stone house. She then later moved into Maugerville were she started a family with her husband Jerry Arbeau. 

She was an outgoing, sassy, and fun person. She loved lunch dates with her good friend Vi Allan, seeing her grandchildren, the hall where she practiced her religion, and seeing her siblings. Her sister Janet Dutcher lives next door and her other sister Anne Bridges lives just down the road! 

Although Margie had been in the hospital for 5 months, she still kept herself positive. I think all of the fast food and sweets everyone brought her also kept her hope high. Even with her diagnosis she was calm and blessed to have the time she had left. 

She will be missed by her husband, Jerry Arbeau; children, Andy Arbeau and Lesley Allan; her pride and joys (grandchildren), Brianna Hart, Logan Arbeau, Ava Allan-Hart and Mason Arbeau; her siblings, Janet Dutcher, Anne Bridges, Mary Lean and Peter Lean, as well as her special cat, L.B. 

In addition to her parents, Imogene and David, she is predeceased by her younger brother, Donald Lean. 

There will be a Celebration of Life for Margie on May 13th at the Maugerville Community Center, from 12pm-5pm. Whoever knew Margie is more then welcome to come. For those who wish, memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, or a charity of the donor’s choice.
