Obituary of Sheila Elaine Cull

It is with sadness that the family of Sheila Elaine Cull announce her passing at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital on Monday, May 22, 2023 at the age of 79. Sheila was born September 7, 1943, in Habitant, NS, to the late Guy and Jeanetta Thorpe. She was the wife of David Cull of Oromocto.

In addition to her loving husband, David, Sheila leaves behind her son, William Cull (Amanda); her daughter, Tracy Cull; 3 grandchildren, whom she adored, Caitlyn, Owen and Delaney; fur grandbabies, Priscilla and Jill; sisters, Leona Greencorn and Nina Henshaw, both of Nova Scotia; several cousins, nephews and nieces.

Sheila had an infectious laugh, a beautiful smile and lovely blue eyes. Sheila loved meeting people and you could hear her laugh when you entered a building or the Dollarama where she worked for 18 years.

A favorite pastime of Sheila’s was spending time with Caitlyn and watching Owen and Delaney playing hockey. She was very proud of her grandchildren.

The family would like to thank some very special people from the Intensive Care Unit; Dr. Aslam, Dr. Pulchan and the entire Intensive Care Unit Staff for their outstanding care, treatment, friendship and love shown to Sheila and her family during her stay in the ICU. The doctors, Nurse Manager, RN’s, LPN’s, RT’s, clinical and housekeeping staff made Sheila, her husband, son and daughter feel as though they were a part of the ICU family. We will never forget their care, understanding and kindness.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. For those who wish, donations in Sheila’s memory may be made to the SPCA.
