Obituary of Harry Gordon Grant
The family of Harry Gordon Grant are heartbroken to announce his passing at the Saint John Regional Hospital on May 26, 2023. Born on June 21, 1952, he was the son of the late Gordon and Edith Grant (Crawford)
Harry spent most of his life in the moving industry where he made some of his lifelong friends, he always had a funny story to tell. He loved hunting and being in the woods he also enjoyed cooking. He never missed a Montreal Canadians hockey game. Since they are golfing he'll be up there cheering on the Florida Panthers this year! He finished his working days as a meat cutter at the Superstore with a team he loved.
Harry will be missed by his wife and best friend of 31 years, Christine (Coy) Grant; children, Jennifer Harnish (Todd), Kyla Phillips (Steve Rathburn), Kelly Bridges (Terry). Whitney Grant (Tyler Lutes), and Luke Johnson (Becky); siblings, Donald Grant, Shelia Dionne (Ron), Charlotte Stewart (Greg), Doreen Bruneau (Corey), Patricia Price (Larry), Steven Grant (Toni), and Dennis Grant; 15 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, as well as many nieces, nephews, his beloved pets and dear friends Reg Flarow and Jim Arbeau who kept him entertained daily.
The family would like to extend sincere thanks to the Oromocto Extramural Program for their kindness, consideration, and compassion while helping Harry over the last few years.
A visitation will be held at the Oromocto Funeral Home on Tuesday, May 30, 2023 from 2:00 – 4:00 and 6:00 – 8:00 pm. A memorial service celebrating Harry’s life will take place at the Oromocto Baptist Church on Wednesday, May 31, 2023 at 2:00 pm. For those unable to attend, there will be a livestream of the service at https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCLgRd7sNXdUaZ5WDaPpzYlA. Interment will take place immediately following the service in the Chase Cemetery, Upper Coytown, New Brunswick.
