Obituary of Elizabeth Pearl Miner
It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Elizabeth “Liz” Pearl Miner at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital on Wednesday, August 9, 2023 at the age of 69. Born in Fredericton Junction, NB, on June 7, 1954, she was the wife of David Miner of Upper Gagetown.
In addition to her husband, David, Liz leaves behind her daughters, Lisa Smith (Merlin) and Wendy Estabrooks (Jeff); grandchildren, Steven
Smith (Sara), and Tyra, Rachael, and Austin Estabrooks; brothers, Robert “Bobby” (Colene), Doras (Jackie) and Frank (Carla) Stennick;
sisters, Avis Duplisea (Philip), Retta Flowers (Robert) and Mabel Wells (Dave); aunts, Myrtle Brown, Jean Gaudet, Shirley Stennick and Olive Oram; brothers-in-law, Vernon Ward, Chris “John” Miner and Donald Miner; sister-in-law, Debbie Shaw; and a very large extended family. Liz was predeceased by her parents, Bruce and Phyllis (Oram) Stennick, and by her sister, Hazel Ward and her nephew Michael Stennick.
Along with her large extended family, Liz also had a large professional family. She started working at Kwik Kopy Design Center (now Allegra
Fredericton) in 1998 working in the bindery department assembling calendars until she was hired full time in the whiteprint department
making large format engineering plans for all of Fredericton. Everyone knew Liz in Whiteprinting, and she always took care of her “guys” until
she retired on Sept 27 th 2019. After her retirement she spent her days having coffee with her daughters and spoiling her grandchildren, then
spending the rest of her time with her loving husband David of almost 20 year, and her beloved fur-baby, Champ. We will always have those
special memories of hunting and fishing out at the camp that she loved so much.
Private services will be held for the family. For those who wish, donations in Liz’s memory may be made to Heart and Stoke foundation, or the Canadian Diabetes Association.
