Obituary of Matthew Michael Sacobie

It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Matthew Michael Sacobie on October 2 2023 in Oromocto, New Brunswick. Born on September 20, 1977, he was the son of the late Sherman and Linda Mavis Ann (Sacobie) Lyons.

Matthew will be missed by his sister, Mindy; nephews, Dax, Terry, Roland, Daniel, and Emery; Nieces, Sabrina, Jo Jo, and Alexis; aunts, Shirley and Doreen; great aunts, Sally and Mil; Uncle Ivan, as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Matthew was known for his kindness, caring, and love of his family and friends. Some comfort can be taken from knowing he is now playing with his beloved dog, Rosco, who passed just a few months ago.

Visitation will take place at Oromocto Funeral Home on Saturday, October 7 and Sunday, October 8 from 2:00 – 4:00 and 6:00 – 8:00 each day. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church on Monday, October 9, 2023 at 12:00 pm. Interment will take place on Wednesday, October 11, 2023 at 12:00 pm at St. Vincent de Paul Cemetery.

Donations in Matthew’s name made to the New Brunswick Lung Association would be appreciated by the family.
