Obituary of George Douglas Ingram

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of George Douglas Ingram.  George passed away peacefully at his home in Oromocto October 14, 2023.  Born January 16, 1945, in Scotland he was the son of the late Louis Ingram and Ellen (Mills) Chalk.

George had a huge love for his family.  He married the love of his life June and together they raised two sons.  George had a passion for woodworking, golf, and baseball.  There was no bigger Jays fan than George.  He loved watching the games with his favorite scotch in hand.

Having served in the military for 35 years as part of the RCD Squadron, George retired as a Master Warrant Officer.  After this he worked for Calian group for 20 years.

George is survived by his sons; Doug (Lynn) and Edward (Stephanie) Ingram; his beloved grandson Tyler (Kaitlynn); brother Robert, and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, George was predeceased by his late wife June (Carey) Ingram; sister, Faye Ednie, and brothers Delbert and Vern Ingram.

In keeping with George’s request there will be no funeral service.  A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, October 19, 2023 at the Oromocto Funeral Home from 6-8pm, with burial to take place at a later date.  For those who wish, donations to the Heart and Stroke, Cancer society or donors’ choice in George’s name would be appreciated.
