Dad had a 33 year career in the Military that saw him travel to Germany 3 times. First to Langshied, then to Fort Quappele, then Lahr, as well as postings to Petawawa, Shilo, and Gagetown where he made his permanent home. Over all the years, dad made many life long friends such as the McLeans, Dunne and the Grey's and so many more. Dad loved his time in Florida and meeting all his friends from all over Canada and U.S. for 25 years as a "snowbird".

On behalf of the entire Regimental Family, please accept my sincere condolences at the passing of Captain Bill Ramsay. His long service with the guns was complemented by a career of service after leaving the Army. In particular, his work organizing the Atlantic Gunners Association has created a lasting legacy that brings gunners together in good spirits to this day. I know that all who served with Bill are sharing fond memories of their service together in defence of our country. Some comfort should be taken in recalling all the lives he influenced positively throughout his life. Ubique.

My most sincere condolences to all Bill’s family and friends. Au outstanding Gunner, he was my course MWO on my AIG course in 78 and we served together in 79-80 at the Artillery School. I only have good memories of the time spent in his company.
Good Shooting, End of mission, Rest
UBIQUE
