Obituary of Chad Harley McInnis

It is with extreme sadness and grief that the family of Chad McInnis must announce his passing. Chad passed away suddenly in Rusagonis, New Brunswick on 26 August 2024.

Chad was the loving father of 3 year old, Jackson and 2 year old, Shania.  He had lived in Edmonton for 15 years and worked in the oil patch of Alberta as a scaffolder.

Chad had been in New Brunswick since early June tending to the affairs of his beloved brother, Michael, who died suddenly at the end of May.  He was dreaming of the day that would soon come when he would return to Alberta to reunite with his children whom he missed so much.  Sadly that day did not come.

Predeceased by his brother, Michael, and his sister, Samantha, Chad is survived by his children, Jackson and Shania; father, Michael of Havre Boucher, NS; mother, Wendy (Carlin) Vincent and stepfather, Barry Vincent of Gagetown, NB; sisters, Holly Vincent of Bedford, NS and Heather Vincent of Halifax, NS.

His family and friends are left to wonder what could have been.  He deeply loved his family, however the recent death of his big brother coupled with his struggle with mental health issues proved to be too much for him to bear.

Visitation will take place on Tuesday, September 3 from 4:00 to 6:00 pm at the Oromocto Funeral Home. To honour and say farewell to Chad, a memorial service will be held at St Luke’s Chapel, CFB Gagetown on September 4, 2024 at 2:00 pm. For those unable to attend the service, a livestream will be available at the following link: https://vimeo.com/event/4538701

Chad will be laid to rest beside his brother Michael and sister Samantha at Fernwood Memorial Park, Middle Sackville, Nova Scotia on Friday, September 6, 2024 at 1:00 pm.

In lieu of flowers a donation to the Canadian Mental Health Association would be greatly appreciated.
