Obituary of Marlene June Mallery

It is with great sadness that the family of Marlene June (Webster) Mallery announces her passing at Hospice Fredericton on Friday, March 9th, 2018 at the age of 60. Born in Midland, NB, on August 28th, 1957, she was the wife of Colby Mallery of Upper Gagetown, NB. In addition to her husband, Colby, Marlene leaves behind her three daughters, Melissa Mehan (Jeremy) of NB, Sarah Mallery (Neil Martin) of PEI and Katie Mallery of ON; sister, Doris Mercer (Frank) of NB; brother-in-law, David Griffin of NB; niece, Yvonne Griffin of NB; sister-in-law, Joan Gaunce (John) of NB. Marlene was predeceased by her parents, Myles and Mildred Webster; twin sister, Marilyn Griffin and sister, Barbara Webster; brother, William Webster. Marlene graduated from Belleisle Regional High School in 1975 and then attended Saint John Community College in 1976, graduating with a diploma in Culinary Arts. Affectionately known as Mom, Ma, or Mama Bear, Marlene loved cooking, sewing, helping out on the family farm, her cats and dogs but, most of all, she adored her three daughters and family life. Special thanks to Dr. G. Haines, Dr. B. Sainz, and the staff of Hospice Fredericton. Visitation will be held at Oromocto Funeral Home on Monday, March 12th, 2018 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A funeral service will be held from the Oromocto Funeral Home Chapel on Tuesday, March 13th, at 2 pm with Rev. Gerald Nickerson officiating. Interment will be in Upper Gagetown Cemetery in the spring. In lieu of flowers, donations in Marlene’s memory can be made to Hospice Fredericton.
