Obituary of Horst Gunther Meier

It is with deep sadness that we say goodbye to Horst Meier, 81, of Burton, NB, who passed away on Monday, March 19, 2018. He was born on September 10, 1936 in Gross Schonwalde, Germany and was the son of the late Martin and Anna Meier (Schmidt). He will be sadly missed by his wife, Lois; son, Martin; brother, Court; sister, Anna-Marie; several nieces, nephews and many friends and neighbours. Horst was predeceased by his son, Gordon; brothers, Heins and Karl and sister, Rosie. Visitation was held on Saturday, March 24, 2018 from 12PM until 1:45PM at the Oromocto Funeral Home with a legion tribute that took place at 1:45PM. The memorial service was held at 2PM in the Oromocto Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Lori Beth Sheffield-Bowles officiated. Interment is being held at Oromocto Pioneer Gardens on Tuesday, August 7, 2018 at 1:00 pm.
