Delbert was one of the people at Pine Grove who captured my heart. He always had a smile and greeting and I felt his kindness. Your love for Delbert/your dad was evident in the devotion I witnessed in your visits. I have a snapshot in my mind of his big smile as his grandson sat on his knee and rode down the halls. I was unable to visit this last little while as I was looking after my nephews. They seemed to be filled with colds a lot and I would not risk a visit to Pine Grove. Delbert/your dad is now free from the terrible disease that took his life, and for that I am happy. However, the space he leaves brings much sadness. He is someone I wish I had known before his coming to Pine Grove. I am certainly glad I was able to get to know Delbert and his visiting family.
