Obituary of Mavis Edgar

Edgar, Mavis May It is with sadness that the family of Mavis Edgar, formerly of Haneytown, NB, announce her death at Hospice House in Fredericton on Thursday, November 15th, 2018, at the age of 70. Born in Tracey Mills, NB, on March 8th, 1948, she was the eldest daughter of the late Phillipe and Melvina (Smith) Cote. Mavis leaves behind her partner, Ronald Cheverie; son, Tim Edgar (RoseAnn Smith); daughter, Tammy Seeley (Paul Grady); grandchildren, Christopher Stevens-Edgar and Dylan Seeley; brothers, Dyllis (Viola), Omar (Margaret), Wilfred, and Doug (Esther) Cote; sisters, Margaret McGrath (Romaine) and Paula Cote; several nephews and nieces. In addition to her parents, Mavis was predeceased by her husband, Richard Edgar; infant son, Dale; grandson, Matthew Seeley; brothers, Robert and Lewis Cote. …Later in life Mavis moved to Rusagonis, but she always considered Haneytown to be her home. She also spent some time living in other places such as Western Bay, NL, and Niagra Falls, ON. There will be no visitation. A memorial service will be held at Oromocto Funeral Home on Friday, November 23rd, 2018 at 2:00 pm with Pastor Wayne Flowers officiating. Interment will be in Oromocto Pioneer Gardens in the spring. For those who wish, donations in Mavis' memory can be made to the Saint John Regional Hospital Foundation - Hostel Unit or Fredicton Hospice House.
