Obituary of Levina Emma Fraser

The passing of Levina Emma Fraser occurred peacefully, with her family by her side, on July 7, 2019 at the Oromocto Public Hospital. She was born on August 26, 1926 in Isle aux Morts, NL, and was the daughter of William & Francis (Strickland) Organ, as well as her special step-father, Philip Seymour. Levina will be deeply missed by her children Wayne Fraser of Oromocto, NB, Gary Fraser (Sharon) of Barrhead, AB, Bob Fraser (Hollie) of Waasis, NB, Tom Fraser (Delphine) of Yarmouth, NS, and Mary Wilson (Rob) of Oromocto, NB; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews; her sister, Lenora Bell of Toronto, and her brother, Tom Seymour of Isle Aux Morts, NL. In addition to her parents, Levina was predeceased by her husband, Bill; her brothers Hickman Organ and George Seymour, her sister Mary Hulan; and her daughter-in-law, Mary Mourant Fraser. Our wonderful, kind, gentle Mother loved her life, her family, her home, her friends, her community, a good game of 45s, and would have loved to live forever. Mom’s main wish her entire life was that she would live long enough to bring up her 5 children. We are all guessing she finally decided we could make it on our own now. Thanks Mom – we know we did you proud and it’s all because of you. Our family would like to thank Dr. Reid, the nursing staff at the OPH, and every extra-mural nurse who came to Mom’s home for their heartfelt kindness. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Mary’s Chapel, CFB Gagetown on Friday, July 12th at 11am with Father Ken Weir as celebrant, Father Shawn Daley and Father Lance Magdziak as co-celebrants. In celebration of our Mother’s wonderful life, feel free to wear bright, cheerful colours. Interment will be held at St. Vincent de Paul Cemetery following the Mass. For those who wish, donations in Mom’s memory can be made to the Oromocto Hospital Foundation, or the charity of the donor’s choice.
