Obituary of Helena Cole

It is with sadness that the family of Helena Cole announces her death at the Shannex - Frederick Hall, on August 8, 2019 at the age of 81. Born in Aylesford, NS, on March 24, 1938, she was the wife of Eugene Cole of Waasis, NB. In addition to her husband, Eugene, Helena leaves behind her son, Bernard Cole; daughter, Sonya (Cole) Eldridge; brother, Fred Baltzer; sister, Shirley Early; grandchildren, Cassie and David Eldridge; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Helena was predeceased by her parents, Harold and Mabel (Graves) Baltzer; brother, Duane Baltzer; sister, Betty Harrington. Helena will be remembered by her family for her love of animals, especially cats, as well as for her love of gardening and nature. She was also an avid birdwatcher. There will be no visitation. A memorial service will be held at Oromocto Funeral Home on Tuesday, August 20, 2019 at 10 am with Rev. Brian MacDonald officiating. Interment will take place in Newfoundland at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations in Helena’s memory can be made to the Alzheimer Society.
