Obituary of Annie May Anderson
The family of Annie May (Hudson) Anderson, wife of the late Charles Donald Anderson of Oromocto, NB, would like to announce that she has begun another segment in her journey of life on October 15, 2019 at Hospice House Fredericton. She left us to join the heavenly Father and many of her family and friends. Born January 25, 1931, in McAdam, NB, she was the daughter of the late Charles Edward and Matrona (Beruk) Hudson.
Ann is survived by her daughter, Barbara Ann Richards (Alan) of Oromocto, NB; her sons, Blake Anderson (Julia) of Ripples, NB and Brian Anderson of Moncton, NB; her three grandchildren; three step grandchildren; three step great grandchildren; four sisters, Dorothy Friesen (Peter) of Rocky View, AB, Mary MacDonald of McAdam, NB, Nina Johnston of Harvey, NB, and Margaret Murphy (Floyd) of Newmarket, NB; as well as several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, parents-in-law and cherished husband of 57 years, Ann was predeceased by her stepson, Donald David Anderson (1990); two brothers, Edward (2014) and Stephen Hudson (2006); Steve’s wife, Joyce (Christie) Hudson (2007); brother-in-law, Orville Johnston (2011) and Angus MacDonald (2016); sister-in-law, Jean Matthews (2016); also several extended family members of the Anderson Clan and friends throughout Canada and USA.
A special thank you to all the doctors and staff for their attentive and compassionate care, her family doctor, Dr. Saira Momtaz and the oncologist, Dr. Ghadeer Anan. Also, to Dr. Sainz and her staff at Hospice House.
Arrangements are entrusted to the professional care of Oromocto Funeral Home, 108 Winnebago St., Oromocto, NB, 357-5100. Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 17, 2019 at Oromocto Funeral Home from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm. The funeral service will be held from Oromocto United Church on Friday, October 18, 2019 at 11 am with Rev. Lori Sheffield-Bowles and Rev. Bob Jones officiating. Reception will immediately follow the service. Interment will take place at 2:30 pm in the Kirk Hill Cemetery, Sussex, NB, following the reception. In lieu of flowers, due to allergies, memorial tributes in Ann’s memory would be greatly appreciated by the family to a charity of the donor’s choice.
