God Bless Uncle Bert in the arms of his lord. My memories of my childhood when stopping in Montreal on the way to P.E.I. are comforting times with both families. I wish all that knew him to realize how hard Uncle Bert tried to be there for others and his lord. May peace be with him, and those who knew the man.

I was saddened to hear of the passing of Mr. Burt KILBRIDE. I have known him for a number of years when I was a member of the Catholic Church, and also with the Knights of Columbus. He was a good, and decent man who loved his Lord, and loved his faith. And he also loved his family. My sincere Thoughts, prayers, and condolences I extend to the surviving members of Burt's family, friends, relatives, loved ones, and all of whom he came in contact with, and who were made better because of his presence among us. May the God of all comfort wrap his arms of love around you all and give you peace that passes all understanding. May he strengthen you as you walk through the grieving process. And may he bring you to know that although Burt has left us and gone on to be with the Lord, we have a blessed hope in Christ that we will see him again one day soon. Burt Kilbride Requiescat in Pace Rest In Peace.

Dear Carmel and all family... It was with great sadness that I had recently learned of Bert's return to Our Dear Lord. My heartfelt love, sympathy and prayers to you, Carmel together with all your family !! Bert was truly an exemplary child of God. Bert as you know much better than anyone, made use of his many and beautiful God-given talents. He never hid the Light of Christ under a bushel... rather, he used with such wisdom, Faith, Hope and Charity the Treasured Gifts that were showered on him with great Humility... very rare indeed. I have many fond memories of seeing the 2 of you both at St. Vincent de Paul and at Our Lady of Fatima. The Legion of Mary together with offering of himself in any manner that was needed in any Parish or with any individual was most evident. The two of you made a beautiful couple... together you were soo special. As you know, dear Carmel, Life has changed for Bert and you, not ended. Death of a loved one, a spouse is no easy Cross, however, with your profuse Faith and prayer life that you shared with Bert while he was on earth, you will continue even though your relationship is now totally Spiritual. You will feel Bert's presence if you have not already. Please know that you are in my heart and profound prayers. It is soo beautiful that one day, you will see Bert in Heaven ! My love, sympathy and prayers, Diane Marie Maillard
