Obituary of Annie Amelia Daley

It is with sad hearts that the family announces the peaceful passing of Annie Amelia Daley on December 4, 2019 at the Oromocto Public Hospital. Born on July 10, 1935, she was the daughter of the late Peter and Julia (Noble) Warren. Annie will be greatly missed by her children Nancy DeWitt (Royden Shanks), Lonnie Daley (Carolyn) and Perry Daley (Peggy); grandchildren Angel and Adam DeWitt, Shayne Shanks, Janet, Heather and Danny and their families, as well as Penny and Curtis and their families; great grandson Jesse DeWitt; great-great granddaughters Summer DeWitt and Sierra Godfrey; sister Violet McLaughlin; brothers John Warren (Theresa), Larry Warren, Dale Warren (Kim) as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. In addition to her parents, Annie was predeceased by her husband Edward; a brother Gerald Warren; three infant daughters Marry Ellen, Susan Marie and Elizabeth Anne; and a nephew Jacob G. Warren. Annie was a proud member of the Rusagonis United Baptist Church. She enjoyed her Forever Young meetings as well as her weekly BINGO games. A fantastic baker, she was known for her scotch cakes and brown bread. The family would like to thank all the staff and management of Eden’s Retirement Villa for their excellent care; the doctors, nurses and staff of Med 1 at the OPH and the ER at the DECH. A special thank you is extended to Nurse Helena at the DECH for her kindness. A very special thank you to Dale, Kim, and Violet for all their help while mum was still at home, to Valerie when she was in the Oromocto hospital and to Pastor Brent MacDonald for his visits and prayers. We couldn’t have done it without you. At the request of the family, there will be no visitation. A private memorial service will take place in the spring. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Alzheimer’s Society, or a charity of the donor’s choice.
