Born on February 18, 1947, he was the son of the late Herman and Mildred (Stennick) McAleer. He spent 34 proud years working with the Department of Transportation. Arthur's favorite past-times were hunting, four-wheeling, playing cards and spending time at the camp. Arthur will be missed by his beloved wife of 46 years, Dianne (Legere); daughters, Beverly Legere and Maryanne Davies (Robert); brothers, Doug "Skippy" (Brenda) and Brian (Cilia); sisters, Shirley Carr, Elizabeth "Betsy" Howe, Evelyn McAleer, Donna Casey and Cathy Carr (Derek); brother by choice, Donnie Stennick (Nancy); brother-in-law, Grant Legere (Cindy); sister-in-law, Carolyn Whalen; as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to his parents, Arthur was predeceased by son-in-law, Thane O’Donnell; granddaughter, Martina Brown; in-laws, Edward and Hazel Legere; brother, George; brothers-in-law, Charlie Carr, Leon Howe and Charlie Whalen. By Arthur’s request, there will be no visitation or formal service. A burial will take place at a later date in St. Vincent de Paul Cemetery, Oromocto, NB.
