Obituary of Thomas Roy Reginald Robinson

It is with broken hearts that the family announce the passing of Thomas Roy Reginald Robinson at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital on Monday, February 3, 2020. Born on December 20, 1939, he was the son of the late Frank and Alice (Dearing) Robinson. For many years, Tom was a Cub Master and District Training Coordinator for Scouts Canada and coached both men’s and boy’s hockey. In 1986 he retired from the military regular forces after 29 years of service, after which he worked for many years in the Reserve Forces and for the Corp of Commissionaires. Ultimately, his pride and joy, his most prized possession, was his wife and children. He will be sadly missed by his wife of 60 years, Elaine (Hilliard) Robinson; his children Lorri deJong, Frank Robinson (Rosalee), Nancy Tower (Stewart), Wayne Robinson (Terri), and Harold Robinson; his grandchildren Dale Quackenbush (Amanda), Tommy Robinson, Riley Robinson, Hailey Robinson, Justin Robinson, and Trinity Robinson; his great grandchildren Owen, Caleb, and Logan Quackenbush; his son-in-law Tony Quackenbush; his brother Richard Robinson; his sister-in-law Leslie Hilliard, as well as many loving nieces, nephews, friends and all those who called him dad. In addition to his parents, Tom was predeceased by his beloved children Vicki Quackenbush and John Robinson as well as several brothers and sisters. A visitation will take place on Wednesday, February 5, 2020 from 2 – 4, and 6 – 8 pm at the Oromocto Funeral Home, 108 Winnebago St, Oromocto, NB. A funeral Service will be held on Thursday, February 6, 2020 at 1:00 pm at the Oromocto Baptist Church, 10 Doyle Dr, Oromocto, NB with the Rev. Dr. Perry Hanley presiding. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Oromocto Baptist Church, the Fredericton Homeless Shelters or a charity of the donor’s choosing would be appreciated by the family.
