Obituary of Barbara Mary Court

The death of Barbara Court of Oromocto, NB, occurred at the Oromocto Public Hospital on Monday, March 2nd, 2020. Born in Miramichi, NB, on November 16th, 1932, she was the wife of the late Olden "Bud" Court. Barbara leaves behind her children, Andrew "Drew" Court (Donna) of Calgary, AB, Olden Court (Patricia) of Napan, NB, and Jane Gray (Randy) of Burton, NB; grandchildren, Kacy and Jason Court, Sarah, Samantha and Allison Court, and Mary Jane McKearney (Aaron); great-grandchildren, Shenece Gray, Emma McKearney and Kali Pattison; sister, Alberta Crowley (Dale) of Qualicum Beach, BC; sister-in-law, Faye Levesque (Yvon) of Dieppe, NB; many nieces, nephews, and friends. In addition to her husband, Bud, Barbara was predeceased by her parents, Thomas and Barbara (MacNaughton) Lockerbie. Barbara was an RN for 44 years until her retirement in 1997. She was very dedicated and conscientious while providing 24 years of nursing within Oromocto. Barbara was very active in the United Church and served on several local committees. Visitation will be held at Oromocto Funeral Home on Saturday, March 7th, from 6:00 – 8:00 pm and on Sunday, March 8th, from 1:00-3:00 pm. A funeral service will be held from Oromocto United Church on Monday, March 9th, 2020, at 1:00 pm with Rev. Lori Beth Sheffield-Bowles officiating. Interment will take place in Pine Grove Cemetery in the spring. In lieu of flowers, donations in Barbara’s memory can be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
