Obituary of Phyllis Louise Scott

It is with great sadness that the family announce the passing of Phyllis Louise Scott at the Dr Everett Chalmers Hospital on Monday, April 6, 2020. Born on April 26, 1942 in Emmerson, Manitoba, she was the daughter of the late Harry and Laura (Felker) Dowswell. Loved by all who knew her, Phyllis was a vibrant, caring, outgoing woman who loved life to the fullest. Even when she was ill, she kept her daughter running to keep up. She always had a smile, and loved fashion almost as much as she loved people, and thrived as a sales associate for most of her life wherever they were lucky enough to have her on staff. Phyllis will be dearly missed by her daughters Tracey O’Dell (Dennis) and Brenda Brewer; sister Judy Gilchrest; grandchildren Terri-Anne O’Dell (Cody), Shane Brewer (Kelly) and Shannon Brewer; great grandchildren Nathan, Autum, Keira and Kenna as well as many nieces, nephews friends and family. In addition to her parents, Phyllis was predeceased by her husband of 14 years Francis Scott as well as many brothers and sisters. A private family gathering will be held this week, with a Celebration of Life to take place at a later date. Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
