Obituary of Cynthia Mary Collins (Kelly)

With heavy hearts, the family of Cynthia Mary (Kelly) Collins announce her unexpected passing on Wednesday, June 24th, 2020 at the Oromocto Public Hospital. Born in Gander, NL., she is the daughter of the late Louis and Carmel (Harty) Kelly. Cindy was a caring, loving wife and mother. She supported and accepted a military life for 27 years until her passing. Cindy always thought of herself last and was fulfilled in her life by striving to make others happy. Cindy was creative with her hands and enjoyed doing crafts year-round, especially for her family and friends. Her famous crocheted Christmas bulbs were known to many. Her work will be on a lot of Christmas trees for years to come. Perhaps it was her way to tell us to "Never forget Me" Cindy will forever live on in the hearts of her adoring husband Perry Collins and their only daughter Jessica (Justin Lapointe) of Alberta; her siblings Rick (Trina) Kelly and Sean (Joanie) Kelly all of Labrador, Andre Kelly of Saskatchewan and Natasha (Darren) Skiffington of Gambo, NL; her mother and father-in-law Elias and Ethel Collins of Gambo, NL; brothers-in-law Thomas and Dennis Collins, both of Gambo, NL; sisters-in-law Daisy Moss (Jonas Andersen) of Stillwater Lake, NS, Susan (Peter) Moss of Gander, NL and Juanita (Steve) Rogers of Gander, NL; her Grandmother-in-law Barbie Oram of Gambo, NL; her precious four-legged, canine baby "Tanner" and many aunts, uncles, cousins and extended family, too numerous to mention, who also loved Cindy very dearly. She was predeceased by both, her father Louis and mother Carmel by the age of 19, and by her grandparents Helen and James Harty, who helped to raise her and her siblings. A small, private gathering of family was held Saturday, June 27th, 2020 followed by cremation. Perry and the family will journey back to Newfoundland to celebrate Cindy’s beautiful life with family and friends at a later date. Arrangements have been entrusted to the professional care of Oromocto Funeral Home, 108 Winnebago Street, Oromocto, NB., E2V 1C7, (506) 357-5100.
