Obituary of Charles Bennett Sullivan

On Monday, July 27, 2020, Charles Bennett Sullivan, age 88, of Oromocto, NB, passed away peacefully at the Oromocto Public Hospital. Charles was born in Herring Cove, NS, to the late William Sullivan of Herring Cove, NS and the late Theresa (O’Regan) Sullivan of Joggins, NS. Charles grew up in Herring Cove and worked different jobs including a brief time as a hand on a freighter delivering goods to South and Central America. He enrolled in the Armed Forces for a short career as a RCEME Vehicle Technician which included a posting to Churchill Manitoba, with the polar bears. He finally moved to Moncton to work for CNR where he worked until his retirement. Charles then got the travel bug and toured all over North America with his wife of 60 years Joyce, leaving some of his good spirit from New Brunswick in Arizona, Florida and Mexico. Charles is survived by his wife Joyce (Redden) Sullivan and his daughters Kathleen and Lori, his sons Sean and Kevin and grand-daughter Caelin. He is also survived by his sister Norma, and brothers Alan and Donald. The family would like to thank the staff of the DECH Fredericton and the OPH Oromocto for taking such good care of him over the last 2 months. Charles will be interred at the Pioneer Gardens at a later date. For those who wish, donations may be made to the Oromocto Public Hospital.
