Obituary of Michael Dale Johnson

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Michael "Dale" Johnson on August 9, 2020. Born in Oromocto, NB, on September 6, 1968, he was the son of Karl and Gail (Thomson) Johnson. Dale was residing in Moncton and working as a line cook at the Casino. A description that easily comes to mind when thinking of Dale is a happy go lucky guy. He had such a passion for cooking, loved rock music, especially the band Kiss. There are many times in Dale’s life where he would dress up as one of the members of Kiss, which shows his admiration for the band. Dale also belonged to the Greater Moncton Singles’ group, and was very close friends with many of the group’s members. He will be missed dearly by his family and friends. In addition to his parents Karl and Gail, Dale is survived by his children Michael "Mike" and Brittney Johnson; sister Tanya DeCoste (Chris); nephew Jarod DeCoste; niece Megan DeCoste; the mother of his children, Jacquelyn Campbell, as well as his second wife Sandy (O’Brien) Johnson. Predeceased by his paternal grandparents Jean and Ken Johnson, as well as his maternal grandparents Jean and Andy Thomson. There will be a graveside service held at Oromocto Pioneer Gardens on Saturday, August 15, 2020, at 11 am by invitation only, due to the COVID-19 restrictions.
