Obituary of D. Lewis Anderson

Donald Lewis Anderson, 74 of Geary, NB, son of the late Donald Anderson & Elsie (Harper) Dunfield passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, September 15th, 2020. A long-time employee of NB Power, Lewis retired 15+ years ago. He became a ‘gentleman farmer’ designing, building and tending his gardens, searching for great Kijiji ‘finds’ and various other hobbies. Lewis is survived by his wife of 30 years, Brenda (Upton); Sisters Ruth (Ed) Peskett, June Cormier, brother Lloyd (Elaine) Anderson; his children Darren (LaVonna) Anderson, Jeremy (Natalie Flowers) Anderson and Sarah Anderson; step-children Dale (Ed) Upton-Plant, Lesley (Brent) Porter and Brian (Kim) Upton; 16 grandkids and 9 great-grandkids; as well as an abundance of extended family, nieces, nephews, and friends both old and new. Lewis is predeceased by his parents, sister Norma, brother Richard and brother-in-law Herv Cormier. As per Lewis’ wishes, there will be no visitation or formal funeral service. A celebration of Lewis’ life will happen in his favourite place, attended by his favorite people. In lieu of flowers, Lewis’ family requests that donations be made to the Canadian Heart and Stroke Association or a charity of the donor’s choice.
