Obituary of Patricia Mercier

The death of Patricia (Drummond) Mercier occurred on April 21, 2021, after a brief illness. Patricia was the daughter of the late Eugene and Rowena Drummond. With her parents, she is predeceased by her brother Ross. Patricia is survived by her son Michael Mercier, daughter-in-law Katie Durling and grandson Max; siblings Bonnie, Jerry, Debbie, and Brian and their families; and sister-in-law Edna. Patricia spent her life at school as a teacher, educational assistant and library worker. She loved her school life and her many years with the students. Her greatest joy was her son and grandson. She valued the true friendship of her friend Maureen Penney and their restaurant outings. She appreciated so much the help and kindness of Maureen and her husband Ernie, sister Debbie and sister-in-law Edna during her last weeks and days. There will be no visitation or funeral service as per Patricia’s request. Burial will take place privately at Pioneer Gardens Cemetery in Oromocto. Any donations would be appreciated at any local school breakfast program.
