Obituary of John Richard Fox

It is with great sadness that the family of John Richard "Rick" Fox announce his passing on May 18, 2021, at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital. Born on March 16, 1956, in Saint John, NB, he was the son of the late Allan and Ada (Lanyon) Fox and beloved husband to Christa (Knorr) Fox. Rick was a very quiet man, preferring to be an observer, except when he was with his family. He had a great sense of humor and was always making everyone in the house laugh. He loved to read and was a huge history buff. He was known to watch the same movies many, many times and each time one of them was on he would say "I heard this was a good show" or "I may have seen this one once or twice before". Rick always wanted a big family and his love for them was immense. Nobody would guess from his gruff exterior that he was a "girl dad", but he loved every minute of it and spoiled them all. To quote Rick "Everything I need, is under this roof". He will be greatly missed by his wife Christa Fox; children Kathryn (Jacob Porter), Madeline (Connar Scott), Amelia and Olivia Fox; siblings Pam Parsons (Ray), Bruce (Brenda) and Dave Fox (Karen); sisters-in-law Cathy Smith (Tim) and Sarah Dechauffour; father and mother-in-law Joanne and Frank Knorr, as well as several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Rick was predeceased by his son James "Jimmy" Fox and a brother Frederick "Freddy" Fox. A private service will be held at the Oromocto Funeral Home Chapel.
