Obituary of Bruce William Chase

It is with sadness that the family of Bruce William Chase announce his peaceful passing on August 24, 2021 in Fredericton, New Brunswick. Born on July 12, 1930, he was the son of the late Gordon and Edna (Vail) Chase. Bruce will be missed by his wife of 66 years, Pauline (Vail) Chase; children Mike Chase, Cyril Chase (Kathy), Bonnie Eaton (David), and Sylvia Kennedy (Alan); grandchildren Jessica Morton (Wayne), Krista Aubin (Dale), Katie Kennedy (Brendan), Meagan Eaton, and Matthew Eaton; great grandchildren Kallie, Keira, Aida, Evelyn, Liam, Bryce, and Malcolm; and half brother Archie Smith (Doreen). In addition to his parents, Bruce was predeceased by his infant daughter Christa, brother Arthur, daughter-in-law Christine, and half sister Winnie Barton. A visitation will take place on Friday, August 27, 2021 from 2:00 – 4:00 pm at the Oromocto Funeral Home. A private memorial service will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations made in Bruce’s name to a charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.
