Obituary of Clarence Valley - CD
It is with profound sadness that the family of Clarence "Tam" Valley, of Oromocto, NB, announce his passing at Hospice Fredericton on September 19, 2021. Born in Bathurst, NB, on April 16th, 1931, he was the loving husband of E. Marilyn (Tims) Valley.
In addition to his wife Marilyn, who he spent 49 amazing years with, Clarence leaves behind his beloved children, Collette, Kyle, Carrie, Brian, Bruce, Angela, David and Tina; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, sister-in-law Nancy (Kenneth) Pitre, two nieces, as well as chosen sisters, Dorothy, Gladys, Joyce, and Margaret. He was predeceased by his father and mother-in-law, Fred and Jean Tims, and grandson Jonathan.
Clarence was a veteran of the Canadian Armed Forces who served with the Black Watch and RCR. During his 30-year career, he served in Korea, Germany, Cyprus, as well as several other tours. Following his retirement in 1982, he was a Commissionaire at Base Gagetown for another twelve and a half years.
Clarence was also a member of the Black Watch Association, Oromocto Legion Branch #93, and attended St. John’s Anglican Church in Oromocto.
Clarence will be remembered for his love of music, dogs, dancing, travelling, and having coffee with his many friends.
The family would also like to express sincere thanks to Dr. Naomi White, Kim Young Ross, the Extra-Mural team, Hospice Fredericton, and the many others who helped take such wonderful care of Clarence over the years. Your kindness and compassion will never be forgotten.
There will be no services at this time. For those who wish, donations can be made to the Oromocto Food Bank or to Hospice Fredericton. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Oromocto Funeral Home.
