Obituary of Peter McDonough

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Peter William McDonough at his home on December 9th, 2021, surrounded by his loving family. Born in Minto, NB on March 5th,1960, he was the beloved son of the late Nellie (née Geneau) and James McDonough. He was a graduate of Minto Memorial High School and the Canadian Forces School of Military Engineering. He went on to serve 35 years in the Canadian Forces as a Combat Engineer and retired in Burton, N.B. Peter’s favourite thing was to spend time with family and nothing made him happier. He also enjoyed the outdoors and spending time in his workshop making knick knacks for Nancy and sometimes her friends. Peter is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Nancy (née Bodechon), son Clinton (Angela) of St. Albert, AB, daughter Lindsey of Burton, N.B.; granddaughters, Chelsea, Abby and Shelby; sisters, Carolyn, Judy, Sandra and Nancy; brothers, James, Frank and Don; his favourite Mother-in-law, Irene (Elliot) Bodechon; special nephew, Glenn; close friends; Bernie and Ivy Currie, Kim and Dave Campbell and Dave and Sandra Johnson; along with many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Peter was predeceased by his parents and his sisters Phyllis and Marlene. There will not be a visitation. A celebration of life will be held in the summer months of 2022. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to your favourite charity
