Obituary of Joan Marie Estabrooks

Miss Joan Marie Estabrooks of Lockwood Drive, Mill Cove, New Brunswick, passed away on January 10, 2022 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital, Fredericton, New Brunswick at the age of 69. Born in Halifax, Nova Scotia, she was the daughter of the late Floyd and Emily (Crossman) Estabrooks. Joan spent many enjoyable years at the Oromocto Training and Employment Centre. She spent her last eight years at the Moss Special Care Home under the care of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Moss. Joan is survived by her four sisters Judy Sullivan (Bernard), Oromocto, NB, Patsy Moorcraft, Calgary, AB, Melinda VanOstwaard (Gerry), Strathmore, AB, and Jackie Estabrooks, Oromocto, NB; one brother Paul Estabrooks, Sussex, NB and sister-in-law Sally Estabrooks, Oromocto, NB In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her brothers Larry and Robert; brother-in-law John Moorcraft; and nephew Jason Sullivan. The family would like to express our thanks for the excellent care received at the Moss Special Care Home, especially to Jean and Bob Moss, and Judy Anderson. There will be no funeral or visitation at this time. A graveside interment will be held at the Upper Maugerville Baptist Church Cemetery at a later date. In Joan’s memory, donations to the charity of one’s choice would be appreciated.
