Obituary of Frigyes Baranyai

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Frigyes "Fritz" Baranyai on January 14, 2022, at Hospice Fredericton. He was born in Hungary, on May 1, 1935, and was the beloved spouse of the late Helen (Vida) Baranyai. Fritz loved all of his family, especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren. Some of the fun times that are remembered were fishing and camping trips he had with his girls. He was known for his brilliant smile and his love to tease and torment. Fritz is survived by his daughters Helen Jones (Lester) and Mary Smith (Shawn Munn); son Fred Baranyai; step son John Domortor; grandchildren Tracy (Jeremy), Courtney (Jason), Mathew (Melissa) and Meagan; great grandchildren Cassidy, Brooklyn, Avery, Aubree and Claire. By request, there will be no visitation. A graveside service will take place at a later date. For those who wish, donations in Fritz’s memory may be made to the Alzheimer’s society.
