Obituary of Germaine Wright

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beautiful, perfect mother, Germaine Wright. She passed peacefully surrounded by family at Enhanced Living in Oromocto, NB, on Sunday, February 13, 2022. Born in Ontario on May 12, 1930, she was the daughter of the late Theophile and Anna (Lalumiere) Marchildon. The last surviving member of her immediate family, she was predeceased by her grandson Andrew, son Michael, and son-in-law Don. Germaine will be terribly missed by her children Diane, Murray (Barb), Ellen, Janet, Gordon, and Paul and special daughter, Bernice. She was a favourite Grammie to 12 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren as well as many nieces and nephews. She attended St. Vincent de Paul Church and was a member of the Catholic Women's League for many years. Resting at the Oromocto Funeral Home, there will be a visitation from 2 -4 pm on Wednesday, February 16, 2022. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, February 17 at 11:00 am at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, with an interment in the adjoining cemetery in the spring. Proof of vaccination and government issued ID will be required for entry to both events. Due to current health regulations, there is limited seating at the funeral service. In lieu of flowers, donations to Canadian Guide Dogs for the Blind or Fredericton Autism Connections would be appreciated by the family.
