Obituary of Sandra Hayes

It is with broken hearts that the family announce the passing of Sandra Lee "Sandy" Hayes on Tuesday, February 15, 2022 in Moncton, New Brunswick. Born on July 31, 1977, she was the daughter of Jocelyn (Penney) Royer and the late Stephen Hayes. Sandy will be greatly missed by her children, Johnathan and Jenna; the light of her life, granddaughter, Raya; mother, Jocelyn (Len); brother, Stephen (Marsha); best friends, Melissa Saunders, Kirk and Kevin Chapman; long time friend, Susan Mossop; 4-legged best friend "baby kitty", as well as many nieces, cousins, and friends. A loving and caring person, who would move boulders for the ones she loved. Sandy spent her early adulthood years caring for patients at the York manor, she loved taking care of others, she thought very highly of every patient she had. Recently Sandy enjoyed spending her days with her friends on the deck, or even kayaking or tubing in the summer, she couldn’t wait to get on the water and drink her Caesars. Her work family from imperial was really important to her and she enjoyed being there. She was devoted to being the best nanny in the whole world, also the best mother and she made sure everyone knew it. Sandy will be missed dearly, but never forgotten. We love you more than all the dollars. A visitation will be held at the Oromocto Funeral Home on Monday, February 21, 2022 from 2:00 – 4:00pm and 6:00 – 8:00pm. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, February 22, 2022 at 2:00 pm at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, with Fr. John Jennings as celebrant. Due to current restrictions, proof of vaccination and government issued identification will be required for entry to the visitation and funeral mass. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
