Obituary of Deon Hamilton

It is with sadness that the family of Deon "Sullivan" Hamilton of Fredericton, NB and formerly of Murray River, PEI, announce his death which occurred on Sunday, April 24, 2022 at the Hospice House Fredericton. Sullivan was born July 26, 1967 in Montague, PEI and was the son of Colleen (MacDonald) Hamilton and the late Parker Hamilton. He was also predeceased by his father in law, Aubrey Carter; brother in law, Donnie Carter; his best friend in PEI, Allan Johnston and uncle, Stuart Walters. Sullivan had worked in the funeral industry with his late father, Parker and his brother, Ed for 34 years. He enjoyed flying in the "second seat" with his father. Sullivan loved to ride his motorcycle and going for long walks, listening to music and being with his family and friends. He was proud of his home and his heart was always in PEI. Sullivan is survived by his loving wife of 31 years, Carol; his mother, Colleen Hamilton; his brother, Ed Hamilton (Sharon); his sister, Belinda Machon (Glen); his aunt, Phyllis Walters; mother in law, Ruth Carter; sisters in law, Dawnna Smith (Bobby) and Charlotte Clegg; brother in law, Allan Carter and his niece and nephews, Loreigh MacKay (Greg), Aaron Hamilton (Cassidy), Brodie Machon (Liz) and Tyson Machon (Amber). Visitation will be held from the Oromocto Funeral Home, 108 Winnebago St. on Wednesday, April 27, 2022 from 3-6 pm. A family graveside service will be held in the Murray Harbour Cemetery, PEI on Thursday, April 28, 2022 at 3:00 pm. For those who wish memorial tributes made to the Hospice House, Fredericton would be appreciated by the family. Sullivan’s family would like to thank the doctors and nurses at 4SW at the DECH. Our Extra Mural Program nurse, Tanya and the doctors and nurses at the Hospice House. A special thank you to Dawnna for all your help.
