Obituary of Shirley Anne Crowe

It is with sadness that the family of Shirley Anne Crowe announces her passing on May 26, 2022, at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital in Fredericton, NB. Born on April 27, 1937, she was the daughter of the late Harold James. From the time she was a young girl, mom loved to dance. From line dancing to clogging, jive or waltzing, she loved it all. When she had "tuckered out" dad she would continue on dancing with her good friend Marilyn. She was known to the many children she looked after over the years, as "Aunt Shirley". Mom loved to read and crotchet, but to her, nothing was greater than family. She loved us all passionately, unconditionally, and we all returned that love. Shirley will be missed by her husband of 68 years, Herb Crowe; children Sandra Sherwood (Ron) and Susan Crowe Bourne; brothers Charles James and Harold Lockhart; sister-in-law Joan Crowe White; grandchildren Laura, Amy and Christopher; great grandchildren William, Noah, Nathaniel, Hannah, Ethan, and Taylor; great-great granddaughters Raya and Remedy, as well as many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. In addition to her father, she was predeceased by her grandparents, Charles and Edna James, and her sister Dawn Lewis. At Shirley's request, there will be no visitation or funeral service. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Arthritis Society or to a charity of your choosing in Shirley's name would be appreciated by the family.
