Mike, Darlene and all Fay's family. It has been said many times already but she truly was an exceptional lady. I spent many hours in her presence during my years in Oromocto, in various situations, formally, informally and casually and Fay was always the same; knowledgeable, involved, helpful and pleasant. She will be forever remembered in Oromocto for sure. Rest in peace old friend.

My deepest condolences to Fay’s family. She was a wonderful woman in the community and I’m sure she will be missed. My family lived in Oromocto many years ago and Fay helped us to sell our house after my husband was posted. She was very professional and a help to us and our children. RIP Fay.

Faye was a wonderful and helpful volunteer at the Oromocto Library which now bears her name. I saw her one evening in the Oromocto Mall and she asked how the Library was and I said good. I mentioned that the Town representative was not coming to meetings she asked how many times we met and she said she would come on the board. She was a great help and her Black Forrest cake was a great fund raiser.

Faye will be dearly missed. We volunteered way over a decade together at the Fay Tidd Public Library. She shone in the spotlight but never shied away from hard work and would often be found doing dishes in the back room for hours, in her 80s! Her kindness, intelligence and sense of community will never be forgotten. Sending sincere condolences to her family.

My sincere condolences to the entire Tidd Family. I had the honour of being on Faye's first Council. We attended many functions together over the years. Faye had a way with people unlike anyone else I know, she just had to walk in a room and people would seek her out to have a chat. Our friendship lasted many years after my council days and every once in a while the phone would ring and it would be Faye calling to check up or just for a chat.
The town was made better because of her leadership and vision. Her legacy will carry on.
I will always remember Faye fondly..

I knew of Mayor Faye Tidd for many years but didn't get to know her personally until 2012 and at our first meeting I soon realized she was a very special person kind, caring and passionate about the Town of Oromocto. She was very well respected not only in Oromocto but all across the Province of New Brunswick. Faye received many accolades and awards like the Queens Jubilee Medal, Municipal Awards and having the Oromocto Regional Library renamed to the Faye Tidd Library.
To all of Fayes family I send my deepest condolences.

My deepest condolences on your loss. I met Fay while working and volunteering in recreation at Pine Grove, and we will all miss her sweet smile and gentle manner. She was always game for baking, a visit from the daycare, or any other shenanigans we would get up to! I remember fondly our bike trip to the art gallery this summer, and the way that she always encouraged me to follow my dreams as a woman in science. She will be so greatly missed by all.

Dear Sharon,
With sadness I learned of your mother's passing. She was my mother's dear friend at the Pine Grove where they sat together at the same table during her time there. I had many lovely visits with her and was always amazed at her gracious and gentle manner. What an amazing woman she was who gave so much to her community, her Church, and, of course to her family. I shall always remember her beautiful smile as she greeted me when I went to visit and her little wave to Mom when they met for the last time. Mom has now joined her in eternity, as of today. May you and your family find peace in your treasured memories. My sincere sympathy to you, Sharon-----I feel blessed to have met you and your dear mother. Sincerely, Diane Gorman Flynn

My deepest condolences to each member of the Tidd family and her special friend, Paul, on the loss of a wonderful lady. She touched the lives of so many, including mine. One of my fondest memories was when we would visit Aunt Fay and stay overnight when we were young. She always made sure we had a "midnight snack" (which was really only 8:30 p.m.!) so we didnt go to bed hungry.
