I'm so sorry to hear of Jack's passing. I worked at The Oromocto Hospital many moons ago when I first met Jack and his wife. He and my Dad were friends too and I loved seeing them at coffee time at A&W when that was a thing. He was the sweetest human being ever, and though it has been a whole lot of years since I'd seen him, his face brings back a flood of warm memories. I once heard it said that "people don't remember what you did, but they do remember how you made them feel." That's sure true right now. :) Dad passed 2 years ago, and I'm sure they are up there catching up on all the gossip. I hope your memories bring you comfort. Shelley (Gill) Penney

My sincerest condolences to Jack's family. I didn't know Jack but my Dad Raymond was his uncle, he was raised with Jack ( for the most part by my Aunt Ann, Jack's Mom) spoke very fondly and proudly of him and his service to our country . I was privileged to connect with him over Facebook over the last few years. Rest easy and God bless.

I don't know any of you, but my son and I was in the same ER room at the Oromocto Public Hospital (May 3, 2024) when your father was there. To all my Cousins and Families, I am so sorry to hear about (Uncle) Jack passing. We had such good laughs when he came home with your Mom for the Black Watch reunions. I still remember him eating jello and carnation milk!! I even got to iron his pants for the reunions as I could do them with only one crease ( lucky me) I am sure everyone is going to miss him but as long as you all keep the good memories in your minds he will always be in your hearts May he rest in peace Mary and Peter Stoddart Brantford, Ontario
