I knew Mark from working out at the base gym. He made being there so much more fun. On more than one occasion he would come out to the field house and tell me I could be working harder than I was...and he was right =). He was always quick with a smile or funny story. I definitely missed his presence there when he stopped working the front desk. I'm so sorry for your loss. I didn't know Mark long, but just from those brief encounters at the gym I know he was an amazing person. He was so friendly and enthusiastic about everything. He will be greatly missed. I just wanted you to know that he impacted people he only saw for an hour a few times a week. That's how incredible he was.

To Mark's Family: I had the pleasure of meeting your son on the pickleball court. We had so much fun playing with him. He was an absolute delight with his infectious smile and boundless energy. He reminded me of my own sons and made me miss them more since they are all away. Mark just fit right in, playing and laughing with his new bunch of mature lady friends. I looked for him recently at the gym and wondered where he was and why we hadn't had the pleasure of his company for a good while. I am just so sad inside after just hearing about his death. The reality of life is such that we all walk a very fine line when it comes to our mental health. Understanding mental health issues is challenging for everyone.....we understand and deal better with things that we can actually see physically and mental health doesn't always allow that. How little we know of each other's lives. I only saw what Mark let me see and it was that of a wonderful, fun, caring, talented young man and that is how I will remember him. May your own memories comfort you in the years ahead. Mark will not be forgotten. Take Care Mary Murray

I didn't realize that this beautiful, funny young man was your son. I always got such a kick listening to Mark and my daughter Crystal, who works also t the base gym, banter. What a great sense of humor he had. We both know the lose of a husband but you have another lose to bare. My heart is breaking for you. There are no words of comfort for you, that I know will work. Please call, sometimes it's easier with someone you don't know to well.
